Veggie of the Week: Baby lettuce mix!
Our salad greens have been loving all the wet weather this spring and there’s no better time to enjoy these delicate flavors than right now. Try making a City Grown salad with these ingredients:
-1 cup baby lettuce mix
-1 cup baby arugula
-1 cup spicy salad mix
-1 cup spinach
-5 pink beauty radishes, sliced in coins
-dressing of choice, my favorite is balsamic vinaigrette
As we mentioned in the last email, this year we’re partnering with Standard Bakery to offer some amazing, fresh-baked organic bread for our customers. These guys are very committed to sourcing local ingredients and supporting small farms. We will offer their bread and pastries each week at the farm stands and bread will be available for pre-order.
